There can be no San Beda College Alabang – School of Law (SBCA-SOL) without our administrators, for these exemplars are the guiding lights for the brave and the bold who pursue legal education. This academic year, 2024-2025, the SBCA-SOL administrators are:

Dr. Ulpiano P. Sarmiento III – Dean

The bastion of SBCA-SOL is the one and only “Papa Dean Ulan”. As an administrator, it is under his tutelage that SBCA-SOL is known as the happiest law school in the universe, for he fosters a sincere, engaging, and productive campus which students and lecturers have come to know and love. He is a well-respected author, penning books on Obligations and Contracts, private education for administrators in the Philippines, and many more. As an academic, he took up his Masters of Laws from San Beda University and his Doctor of Laws from Northwestern University (Honoris Causa) and San Beda University.

Atty. Carlo D. Busmente – Vice Dean

Recognized for his pleasant and calm deportment both in and out of the classroom, Vice Dean Busmente is a practicing litigator and a professor in SBCA-SOL who teaches review subjects, Sales and Lease, and Intellectual Property. A defender in both the courts of law and basketball.

Atty. Ma. Eliza Yamamoto-Santos – Prefect of Student Affairs

The beloved Prefect is known for her passion for student development and education, guiding students through the perils of recitation and law school. She is a professor of Persons and Family Relations, Credit Transactions, and more.

Atty. Roben “Jun” Cadugo – Administrative Officer

Known as “Atty. Jun” is an indispensable part of the SBCA-SOL. Many do not know that, before he became a lawyer and member of the SBCA-SOL faculty, he was already an active member of the administration. Aside from teaching Statutory Construction, Election Law, and Practice Court 2 (among others), he also handles inquiries on enlistment and enrolment.

Ms. Rachelle Matienzo, Ms. Lia Chua, and Ms. Marylen Joyce Bagtas

Known by all as the “Dean’s Office Angels / DO Angels”, these ever-reliable and diligent workers readily assist students, faculty, and others in their administrative concerns.

Ms. Sylvia Atienza – Guidance Counselor

SBCA-SOL is not only an institution concerned about its students’ academic development but also for their emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. As the guidance counselor and S.O.L.I.D. moderator, she is the empathetic and kind voice of reason for the student body when the stressors of the degree and of life pile up on each other.

Mr. Leo Acuyan – Logistics

Fondly referred to as “Kuya Leo”, he is the ever-reliable, witty, and jolly point person for logistics in the SBCA-SOL. Never without a smile, he makes students and professors alike feel at ease.
