SBCA School of Law Government spearheaded the most-awaited Lex Celebatrionis last February 24-26, 2023 at San Beda College Alabang Complex.

Lex Celebrationis featured contact sports and online games such as basketball, volleyball, Call of Duty Mobile, Valorant, Mobile Legends, and DOTA. Championship rounds for the online games were simultaneously live-streamed via the SLG Facebook Page.

SLG President Jon Mayette Salacup, said the Lex Celebrationis serves as a reprieve from the grind of law school.
“This event is quite difficult because it needs a handful of organizers and everything has to be reserved, especially the live streaming team. Nonetheless, it’s good that lots of students have benefited and got a chance to participate in the game,”

In a volleyball clash, the undefeated Beda Bang sweeps off Amicus Volley Curiae with an impressive victory in three sets, 25-12, 25-12, 26-24. During the first two-sets of the game, Team Beda Bang got its groove and delivered service aces, excellent defense, and fast attacks. However, Amicus Volley Curiae stole the momentum in the third set with mini rallies forcing a deuce. Unfazed, Team Beda Bang took control of the endgame with a service ace.

“It was fun and challenging at the same time. Actually, we don’t have a game plan at the start. We just wanted a relaxing game and make sure that everyone gets to play. As you can notice from the players, this event is truly a breather,” said Team Beda Bang Captain Louise Leuterio.

Meanwhile, emerging from a dismal start, Team Charles outlasted Team Bob with a 78-76 victory in the basketball championship round. In the last quarter, Team Charles overcame the 11-point deficit to tie the game. Calilung was on fire scoring 38 points, including a pivotal two-point play that led Team Charles to the championship crown.
