Shortly after opening its doors to a new semester and academic year, San Beda College Alabang – School of Law (SBCA-SOL), through the Office of the Dean, conducted a Dean’s Assembly last August 17, 2022, via Zoom Video Conference. Important matters related to the conduct of classes, academic and non-academic policies, the newly-elected School of Law Government officers, the personnel and staff in the Dean’s Office, the school calendar of activities, and the new online learning platform that will be used during classes were discussed to the entire student body by our beloved Dean Ulpiano “Ulan” Sarmiento III.

.

New and distinguished professors were also introduced to the roster of the SBCA-SOL faculty. Dean Ulan emphasized that these individuals were personally handpicked by him and a majority of them were the institution’s very own product of lawyers.

.

Atty. Eliza Yamamoto, SBCA-SOL Prefect of Discipline, also discussed during the assembly the proper etiquette and decorum that all students should practice in attending online classes.

.

Also, during the assembly, Ms. Kathleen Capulong, SBCA-SOL Centralized Bar Operations (CBO) Chairperson, encouraged students to volunteer and assist the CBO in preparation for the upcoming Bar Examinations this November.

.

As for the conduct of classes, Dean Ulan cited that all classes in SBCA-SOL will still be facilitated in an online set-up for this semester. However, final examinations are set to be held on-site, subject to the determination and assessment by the Dean of the health status and/or condition at that time.

.

As for the new online learning application to be used, the Dean introduced the “Class” application which shall be used for online classes beginning this semester. He emphasized that, with the features of the new application, the overall learning quality and experience in SBCA-SOL will be improved.
